Every fall I get incredibly excited about the new book releases, and this year I thought I’d create a digital library database to see which books I’ve read. Ever since I discovered audiobooks, my “Read” category in Goodreads shows very large numbers - but it was only feasible because I love to combine my knitting with audiobook listening, plus it was very beneficial for my mental health to go on walks and nurse my baby at nights while listening to some comfort reads.
I still read physical books once in a while, but the majority of my crafting time I love to check out a nice library read and just disappear in a great story. This means two things: I can save a lot of money on book buying and (very regrettable) I cannot showcase the books that I have read on my bookshelves.
Hence, this new project with the books. It was a fun one to vibe code and I honestly love that I can now sort them out by most favorited.
